  • Where is Immerse Kangaroo Island?

    A 50-minute drive from the ferry terminal at Penneshaw. 


    Please drive to conditions, keep in mind there are unsealed roads on Kangaroo Island and  keep an eye out for our wildlife.


    Osmanli Road is a private track, please be aware that it can be rough at certain times of the year. 


    No a 4WD is not required.


  • What should I bring to Immerse Kangaroo Island?

  • Where can we get supplies?

    Kingscote is a 40 Km drive and has everything you may need including a supermarket, petrol stations, medical clinic and a chemist.

  • Is there WIFI?

    Yes, we provide complimentary WIFI and Netflix.

  • Will we see our hosts?

    You won’t see us, but if you have any queries, we are only a phone call away.


    After a 3 night stay - fresh towels, fire wood replenished and general clean offered.


  • Is there a chef?

  • What are the check-in check out procedures?

    Immerse Kangaroo Island will be ready for you to enjoy (complimentary bubbles chilled, the fires lit or in summer windows open to allow the Southern Ocean breeze to flow).


    • Entry into the property is via key located in the key safe. You will receive key safe pin via email or SMS in the lead up to your stay.
    • Check in 3pm onwards.
    • Check out prior to 11 am
    • Please turn off all the amenities, return key to key safe and simply shut the door behind you.

  • What is the payment and cancellation policy?

    Accommodation Cancellation Policy

    Immerse Kangaroo Island is a unique remote accommodation, cancellations can result in an empty residence. Therefore, if you need to cancel your booking, we will only fully refund monies paid as long as it is 30 days or more before your arrival, so the earlier you let us know the better. If you cancel 30 days or less before your arrival date, no refund will be made, incurring a 100% cancellation fee of the total booking. Date changes are possible subject to availability, if arranged 30 days before arrival. No refund can be given for non-arrival or unused nights. No refunds can or will be given in connection with circumstances arising beyond the reasonable control of Immerse Kangaroo Island i.e. flight delays by airlines / contracted charter companies / illness or guest failure to appear for accommodation. No refund can be given for any unused services or early departures. We strongly recommend the purchase of comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances – medical emergencies, cancellations or additional expenses – that may result in the cancellation of bookings. Subletting – Bookings are NON TRANSFERABLE. Should a sub letting situation be discovered the booking will be cancelled and no refunds made. 

  • What is the policy on children?

    Immerse Kangaroo Island has been specifically designed with family and friends in mind.


    Please be mindful the heating is entirely sourced from slow combustion wood fires in every room. This sets the scene of ambience, warmth and romance through the winter months and cooler evenings. We recognise this can pose a danger for children under the age of 12. Please consider if this is appropriate when booking for younger children.


    Please note when booking for younger children, the bedrooms are separated by a bathroom, please consider if this is appropriate.

  • What do we do in case of emergency?

    Dial 000 in an emergency.

  • Can we use the outdoor fire pit?

    Our outdoor fire pit is strictly to be used only outside of the Bush Fire Danger Season.


    Guests must always observe SA bushfire regulations and fire bans.


    Please visit cfs.sa.gov.au/home for up-to-date bushfire information.


    The use of the outdoor fire pit within the fire danger season will NOT be tolerated.


  • Can we bring our pets?

    Pets are NOT permitted sorry. 

    Immerse Kangaroo Island is situated on the doorstep of the Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park and Wilderness protection Area.

  • Is there disabled access?

    Immerse Kangaroo Island is not specifically designed for disabled access, however, please get in touch to discuss your needs.

  • I have special dietary needs, do your packages cater to this?

    We can cater for any dietary requirement. Please let us know with plenty of time prior to your arrival and we will create a hamper tailored especially to your needs.
