Situated on 20 acres on the south coast of the island, at D’Estrees Bay, this environmentally sound dwelling sits lightly upon the landscape. Designed by Troppo Architects, the finely crafted structure invites in the picturesque views toward the south coast of South Australia's Kangaroo Island.
Guests will feel part of the landscape, gazing out at unrivalled views of the local flora, fauna and the Southern Ocean while relaxing in an interior made warm and comfortable with local timbers and contemporary fabrics. Immerse Kangaroo Island luxury accomodation is a Bed and Breakfast style setup that sits you into some of the most prestine Kangaroo Island scenery. Outside, landscaping with local native vegetation cleverly frames long views of the beaches and the wild coast. Here on D’Estrees Bay, outdoor possibilities are on the very doorstep. Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park and Wilderness Protection Area offer white sandy beaches, local walking trails, fishing, snorkelling, diving and surfing. From this cosy accomodation there’s a sense of unblinkered exploration.

Our vision has been to create an environment within an undisturbed natural habitat where guests can stay and saturate themselves in all that Kangaroo Island has to offer. An important part of that vision is to keep environmental impact to a minimum. Immerse Kangaroo Island is entirely self-reliant, with its own water catchment facilities and a completely off-grid, state of the art solar power system making our luxury retreat one of the most eco friendly accomodation on Kangaroo Island..

The Immerse Kangaroo Island luxury accomodation concept is an extension of our passion for exceptional travel experiences and a way for us to share our love of Kangaroo Island with guests from across the globe.
We represent only the best in unique destination accomodation and authentic Australian hospitality, providing an enhanced tourism stay, encompassing all the island has to offer. Design and construction of an accommodation experience, through sustainable building practices and innovative design.

A must stay on kangaroo island and highly recommended. The place has incredible views of the natural surround and the Bay, with 180 degree uninterrupted water view, super peaceful and quiet, feels like a world away!

Where is Immerse Kangaroo Island?
A 50-minute drive from the ferry terminal at Penneshaw.
Please drive to conditions, keep in mind there are unsealed roads on Kangaroo Island and keep an eye out for our wildlife.
Osmanli Road is a private track, please be aware that it can be rough at certain times of the year.
No a 4WD is not required.
Is there WIFI?
Yes, we provide complimentary WIFI and Netflix.
What are the check-in check out procedures?
Immerse Kangaroo Island will be ready for you to enjoy (complimentary bubbles chilled, the fires lit or in summer windows open to allow the Southern Ocean breeze to flow).
- Entry into the property is via key located in the key safe. You will receive key safe pin via email or SMS in the lead up to your stay.
- Check in 3pm onwards.
- Check out prior to 11 am
- Please turn off all the amenities, return key to key safe and simply shut the door behind you.
What is the policy on children?
Immerse Kangaroo Island has been specifically designed with family and friends in mind.
Please be mindful the heating is entirely sourced from slow combustion wood fires in every room. This sets the scene of ambience, warmth and romance through the winter months and cooler evenings. We recognise this can pose a danger for children under the age of 12. Please consider if this is appropriate when booking for younger children.
Please note when booking for younger children, the bedrooms are separated by a bathroom, please consider if this is appropriate.
What do we do in case of emergency?

Can we bring our pets?
Pets are NOT permitted sorry.
